Program Assistant position funded by Malden Overcoming Addiction
The Malden Overcoming Addiction Program Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to MOA Board Members throughout the planning and implementation of all of our educational, charitable and professional programs.
This is a part time position of up to 15 hours per week to start.
Pay: Hourly, $24/hour. This is a non-benefited position.
Supervised by: Malden Overcoming Addiction Officers

Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides office support for administrative tasks including but not limited to fundraising and outreach, payroll, tax reporting, responding to mail, typing reports, and preparing documentation for grants.
Manages online resources such as Instagram and Twitter including promoting events, responding to messages and upholding the MOA mission statement while creating a professional social media presence for the organization.
Maintains a public calendar for MOA meetings and events, as well as a reminder schedule for meetings and appointments for MOA Board Members.
Collaborates with MOA Board Officers to evaluate and provide feedback on current programs and events.
Keeps updated lists of all partner sober homes and recovery programs.
Attends MOA Board meetings as needed
Program Assistant Skills and Qualifications:
Must be in Recovery for a minimum of two years
Must have taken the 30-hour Recovery Coach Academy training
Strong knowledge of social media platforms and ability to maintain proper social media etiquette
Advanced computer skills and knowledge of email and calendar systems
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Meets deadlines, manages time effectively and has attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with others on a large team
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
A preferred candidate would have experience working in an administrative role or other experience that required strong organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as having prior knowledge of social media platforms and basic computer software.
